This is a good follow-up from Hozier's self-titled debut in 2014, albeit a bit underwhelming. There definitely was a lot of care and effort put into this album, from the production to the songwriting to the performances. It just doesn't pull me in as much as his first. The first half comes and goes, Nina Cried Power being the standout. The second half redeems it, Dinner & Diatribes and Would That I are brilliant.
