I really enjoyed this. Bigger and bolder than her previous albums, A Matter of Time is Laufey exploring a more extroverted side of herself, while still allowing for honest, vulnerable songwriting. There's a tonal shift here from her earlier work, which was focused on more lovesick ballads than self reflection. In interviews, Laufey expressed a desire to create music "worthy of singing along to", and she has definitely accomplished that here, you can't help but join in with Silver Lining and Lover Girl. Vocally, Laufey has never sounded better. Her honey-like voice is used superbly, especially on songs like Too Little, Too Late and Snow White. Gorgeous production, as always, rounds this album out as one of the best of the year so far.
