What a mess. A confused mess. I'm not sure what this is supposed to be. I feel like Jessie Murph could be called a "cursive singer", and pairing this with a terrible, painful sounding voice and awful song writing. There's a clear inspiration from the pop-trap trend of the 2010s, but combined with Halsey's low-points and a bad attempt at a smoky Lana Del Rey / Amy Winehouse, it just leaves no solid identity. There's a way to write this kind of music where you don't have to say "I think I'd give up a few rights / If you would just love me like it's 1965". Just a rough, frankly embarrassing collection of songs that shouldn't have been released. Not even to mention the bizarre features from Gucci Mane and Lil Baby that would feel right at home on a bad Fifth Harmony song from 2015.
