I saw these guys on Tiny Desk and really loved them, but was slightly disappointed to find out that their actual sound is a lot different than their arrangements live. Which is a shame because that performance was incredible. So going into this album I was cautious, but now that I've listened, I'm liking what I'm hearing. The album talks a lot about personal reflection, bettering yourself, their bad habits and vices and how they are trying to shake them. All of the supporting music videos are set in some sort of wellness centre. One thing that might jump out at you are these insane features. Jack Black, Anderson .Paak, Sting and Fred again. Somehow, they all work, despite Jack Black's being my least favourite track, he definitely gives it his all regardless, and it works. Ay Ay Ay really caught me off guard, one of my favourites just for how ridiculous and fun it is. There's a lot to like about this album and it really has it's moments. I liked it way more than I was expecting.
