beabadoobee herself has described this album as end-of-a-90s-movie vibes, which is pretty accurate. You can definitely feel that from these songs. There's heavy influence from that era, particularly on Care. Her soft, almost timid, voice can seem a bit drowned out by a few of the instrumentals, moreso in the first half. Lyrically, these songs are pretty simple. You won't learn more on subsequent listens, but you might leave with a chorus stuck in your head. I definitely enjoyed it overall, but likely won't be back too often.
