Insane. The freshest pop music I've heard in a while. Deeply liminal and creepy, even when it's not trying to be. Feels like something from an alternate, backrooms-esque dimension. It has me on edge, even with some of the more flowery tracks. It's a journey for real, especially when you see some of the visuals they have. The glossy production kinda shields you from the sinister themes, but they definitely are there and leave their mark. Magdelena Bay have perfected their worldbuilding within their work and are fast becoming one of my favourite groups. There's definitely a more cohesion here than on Mercurial World, it's thoughtfully planned out for sure. Just incredible. Album of the year hands down. Cry For Me might be one of the greatest songs I've ever heard. This is an experience from start to finish and is going to be very, very hard to follow.
