I was so excited to listen to this album, Caroline Polachek's voice is very addicting, and I loved her debut, and she didn't disappoint. This album is a fun, more upbeat follow up to Pang, and shows a clear evolution in her artistry. There's a lot of interesting choices, from the drum and bass track with Grimes and Dido, to the rushing flamenco-pop track that is Sunset, to bagpipes closing out Blood and Butter. Some of the vocal runs and melodies she's able to pull off throughout this album are truly wild, especially on I Believe. I really enjoyed this album and it will be on repeat.
