I really enjoyed this one. I first saw these guys on Tiktok doing folky covers of famous songs, didn't realise they actually made music until I stumbled across this album. The song-writing for the most part is quite simple, nothing too flashy, but songs like Where Did I Go Wrong and Let Me Feel Alone will for sure be stuck in your head. The production is great, pumping kick drums, prickly banjos, thick guitars, it's exactly what you'd expect. I think my main issue is that they could have gone a lot harder. Turn the dial up to 11, push it a bit further. You hear the instrumental building and building and then the chorus hits, and I often feel a bit underwhelmed. Thinking of songs like All My Love and The View Between Villages by Noah Kahan, I want to feel it in my chest. Overall though, I'm pleasantly surprised and am looking forward to seeing what's next for these guys.
