Such a stunning album. Heard good things about this one for a while now and it didn't disappoint. Heart-wrenching, almost eerie vocals, gorgeous harmonies, supported by thick layers of percussion, drums and guitars. Most of the subject matter here surrounds a particularly bad breakup, recovering from it and analysing it, trying to move on and learn. Wondering if he will even be able to move on, there's moments where he makes progress, only for thoughts to slip back in, and he falls back into the cycle of "what could have been?". It's genuinely hard to put into words how much I love this album. There's very few other songs, if any, that give me the same feeling in my chest that Skinny Love does.
