This is so much better than her other albums. It's her album. Looking at the tracklist and writing credits of all of her albums, she used to have 2/3 sometimes even 4/5 writers on songs. There are some songs on those albums that she isn't even a writer on, which is fine, but she's not singing her songs. She has no connection with them. On this album, all the songs are written by her and at most one other person. She seems to finally get creative control, and not be at the mercy of her label and 5 writers. Singular: Act II has 23 writers. Emails I Can't Send has 5. And it pays off. This is a great album. We're finally getting to see who she is as an artist here and it's so good.
