It's a good album for sure. At times however it can feel a little generic. Apparently he was pushed into more of a pop music direction by the label, so it's not exactly the space he feels most at home in, and I'm happy he has evolved from that since. The production is mainly acoustic with some snappy drums, and it doesn't stray too far from this foundation. Is it the most riveting listen ever? No, but it does what it intends and leaves without a fuss.
