Getting Killed definitely took a few listens to get. This isn't a sound I'm usually into, so while I thought it was good, it didn't stick with me. I re-listened about a week after reviewing and wow, this is incredible. Every song here is a banger with so many layers of vocals and instrumentation that are so smooth and gel together so well it's insane. You either love this album or you don't, and I do. The energy is just non-stop, Cameron Winter's vocals are so unique and bring so much emotion, which is ironic because every member of the band is as stone-faced as possible when they're performing this live.
